The infamous General Du Couteau is a man of a sharp mind and sharper blades. With a large influence over the Noxian empire, he was renowned for this mastery of bladed weaponry, along with creating a respected assassination style. Even so, accomplishments are often overshadowed by rumours and gossip, and he was no stranger to family issues. Estranging one of his own daughters, adopting and personally mentoring a street rat that had caused Noxus Prime nearly more trouble than they were worth, matters of his personal life only weighed down his burdens of work.
Amidst the Ionian Invasion and talk of a coup for control of the Empire, the general found himself in a troubling position between opposing civil sides. With more enemies than he had made before, either looking for his position of power or the wealth of his family. And before he had time to properly prepare, Marcus found himself staring down the Kindred, into the hungry maw of the Wolf.But he knew it wasn’t his time. Not yet.Marcus fled from Noxus, vanishing without as much as a goodbye to his family. And without anything, left everyone to believe he had been killed. He needed time away from the Empire; for his and his families sake. For countless years he roamed Runeterra, keeping his head down and focusing on his own, internal struggles. Being alone on the road changes a man, even as one so stuck in his way of thinking.A decade was to go by before the old General made his way back to Noxus Prime; both man and city changed. Age has caught up to him now, but there is still a quiet quickness to his step. Making his way back to his families estate, back to his family, Marcus knows not what or who he will meet, but he will greet them with his changed ideologies.
